- Reviewing recordkeeping policies to ensure consistency with record retention requirements
- Evaluating accounting policies to ensure compliance with the overall accounting and financial reporting requirements
- Assisting utilities in FERC filing for waivers and/ or interpretations of the Uniform System of Accounts
- Assisting in response to FERC Enforcement actions
- Assisting in response to FERC audit activities
- Providing guidance to storage companies on FERC accounting and rate policies
- Assisting new companies to establish accounting and recordkeeping policies consistent with FERC regulatons
- Serving as an expert in arbitration and legal proceeding on accounting and rate related matters
- Providing guidance on FERC’s policies with respect to automatic adjustment tariffs
Assisting Internal Audit Groups
- Conducting audits of the effectiveness and efficiency of large in-house construction projects
- Conducting audits of purchased power contracts with other utilities
- Performing a management type audit of the cost of constructing liquefied natural gas facilities
Other Compliance Matters
- Reviewing and evaluating Standards of Conduct policies and procedures
- Providing assistance in evaluating in house compliance programs consistent with the FERC policy
